We want to develop the football talent of boys aged 8-17 while providing a full academic sponsorship at a well-established and excellent school. First and foremost, we want to develop them to be good members of society when they return, but that can also include going to university or a life as a professional football player.

OUR VISION
The vision is that the Young Boys Academy will develop young boys to become future role models. We do this by providing them with a high-quality academic education and elite football training.
Everything is based on the holistic mindset: Body (Football), Mind (School) & Spirit (Character), which means that when the boys finish the Young Boys Academy, they have two obvious chances:
i) They have the opportunity to become professional footballers, and
ii) They have the opportunity to follow the academic path of university. And regardless, they will all become role models for future young Tanzanians - solely because of their character.

"We hope that you will help us support the boys in their education. But we also hope that you have wanted to visit us - and the boys. From mid-2024, we will open the doors to a boutique sports lodge, where you are very welcome!”

VISIT US - AND THE BOYS
From autumn 2024, you will have a good opportunity to visit the Young Boys Academy - and the boys. This is when we will open our cozy little Mount Meru Sports Lodge.
If you want to see the academy - and some of the very best Africa has to offer in the form of safari, trekking, Kilimanjaro, relaxation - then you must visit us when the lodge opens.
KLM flies directly from Amsterdam to Kilimanjaro airport, from where it is only a 30-minute drive to the academy and lodge.
You will hear more when Mount Meru Sports Lodge is ready to welcome you.

together with the boys
Young Boys Academy aims to develop young boys in Tanzania through a combination of football training and academic education. We recruit boys aged 8-17 from all over Tanzania and offer them the chance to improve their skills both on the football pitch and in the classroom. Our approach focuses on giving them a solid foundation so they can contribute positively to their communities and choose a future as professional athletes or academics.
A holistic approach to development
Our philosophy is simple: a holistic development of the boys, where we work on their body (football), mind (school) and spirit (character). We believe that a well-rounded individual has the best chance of success. Football training at the highest level is combined with a solid academic foundation, so that the boys are given the right tools to pursue their dreams, whether as professional players or academics.
Academic education and athletic development
Young Boys Academy offers academic sponsorship at reputable schools, where the boys have the opportunity to combine their football training with schooling. We work with some of the best schools in Tanzania, which provide the boys with a solid academic background. Whatever path they choose in the future, we are confident that their education and football skills will give them opportunities in life that they would not have otherwise had.
More legs to stand on
The boys at the Young Boys Academy have two primary options when they finish their time with us. They can choose to pursue a professional career in football, where they will have received the necessary training to compete at the highest level. Alternatively, they can choose to continue their academic education and attend university. Either way, they will have developed into strong, responsible young men who will act as role models for their communities and future generations in Tanzania.
A unique experience for both players and visitors
Young Boys Academy is more than just a football academy abroad – it is an experience for both players and visitors. Our football academy in Tanzania is located in the scenic region near Arusha, where the boys have the opportunity to train in the best conditions with the impressive Mount Meru in the background. Visitors can rent our sports lodge and get an authentic experience of Tanzanian nature and culture, while seeing how we develop the next generations of football players in Tanzania and more importantly, role models.
Help us create the best football academy in Tanzania
We invite both individuals and companies to support Young Boys Academy and the young talents who live and train at our football academy in Africa. By becoming a sponsor, godfather or support in some other way, you help ensure that the boys have the necessary resources to pursue their dreams. Your support will help shape the future of these young talents, and give them a chance to create a better life for themselves and their families.
A long-term and sustainable investment in Tanzania's future
At Young Boys Academy, we believe in long-term development and investment in young people. Our goal is to make a lasting difference, not just for the individual boy, but for society as a whole. The boys who leave our football academy in Tanzania will not only have achieved sporting and academic success, but will also be equipped to take responsibility and create positive change in their own communities. At Young Boys Academy, we are dedicated to creating opportunities for young boys in Tanzania. We believe that our work can make an important difference in both the world of sports and Tanzanian society. Do you want to help make a difference? Come and visit a Danish football academy in Tanzania, follow our journey, or help make the boys' dreams come true through your support.
