"If you are between 18 and 29 years old and have the courage for an adventure, become a volunteer at the Young Boys Academy. You will help our boys in their development and at the same time get an experience you will never forget".
BECOME A VOLUNTEER
Do you want to experience something very special - e.g. in your sabbatical - and if you have the courage to pass on some of our strong values to young boys from Tanzania ... then you should apply to become a volunteer at the Young Boys Academy.
We have different roles for our volunteers, but they flow together:
School/values-voluntary. Here you have to help the academy's teacher with the boys' schooling - and their personal development.
SoMe volunteer. Here you have to help us send pictures, videos and stories home to sponsors etc. - primarily via our SoMe platforms.
Football volunteer. Here you have to help our trainers on the training pitch - to develop the boys' skills.

Liw Sophie
Liw Sophie has been a volunteer at the Young Boys Academy. We had great pleasure from Liw Sophie in the first 3 months of the academy.
She was a huge help in terms of helping with the boys' everyday life, where she was in many ways their "spare mother/sister". Furthermore, she helped with pictures, video and So-Me, so we could follow along all the way home from Denmark.
Liw Sophie:
Volunteering is definitely something I would recommend and something everyone should try. Here at the Young boys academy, you become part of a family, and you get a sense of togetherness that you cannot compare with anything else. You have an everyday life far from what you know at home, but a meaningful everyday life where you make a difference and where you help to spread joy.
Being a volunteer also comes with a great deal of responsibility, so in addition to contributing to the boys' development, you also grow yourself with the task. -
Lukas
Together with Liw, Lukas was a volunteer at the Young Boys Academy for the first 3 months of the academy. From January - March 2024.
Lukas has previously been an U12 coach at FC Nordsjælland, so he knows everything about training young boys. Lukas also quickly took ownership in the role of football coach for our 14 boys.
The boys definitely got better and Lukas was a great role model for them on the football front, apart from the fact that he was really good at playing.
Lukas:
I highly recommend volunteering here at Young Boys Academy. It is a unique experience which gives the opportunity to take a huge responsibility in the boys' development both on and off the pitch. An unforgettable experience that puts life at home into perspective.
